ABOUT THE CHRISTMAS MOTHER PROGRAM

The Chesterfield-Colonial Heights Christmas Mother program exists to ensure that in our community no family is without food, no child is without toys and clothing, and no elderly person is forgotten as we celebrate the holidays. This year’s Christmas Mother is Carolyn Thompson.

Volunteers can sponsor families or an elderly person; make a monetary donation (tax-deductible); donate new toys, clothing, books, or non-perishable foods; or volunteer at the Christmas center (Chesterfield County Fairgrounds Exhibition Hall).

BY THE NUMBERS

1,459 families / 5,123 family members applying

114 foster children

90 elderly in need

542 families sponsored

DROP-OFF LOCATIONS

The Cordial Cricket, 2524 Festival Park Plaza

November 28-December 10: Magnolia Grange, 10020 Iron Bridge Rd.

December 2-12: Exhibition Hall, Chesterfield County Fairgrounds, 10300 Courthouse Rd.

EVENTS

November 21: Sycamore Square Shopping Center Bike Drive and Gift Drop-Off, 5-9 p.m. Four giving trees will be set up at the center. The donor chooses an ornament from the three and purchases the item written on it, then brings the item back to be placed underneath the giving tree.

December 11, 12, 15: Volunteer shopping trips. Call Christmas Mother hotline to volunteer.
