***image1***Virginia Commonwealth Bank, formerly First Federal Savings Bank, had a very successful premier party celebrating their name change last Friday.  “Lots of customers came in and enjoyed everything,” says Cindy Tereschenko, branch manager for the Chester branch.  “We thought we had enough food to last the day, but it was gone in two hours.”  Along with food during their premier party, each branch gave away prizes and a chance to register to win a home theatre system.

Tereschenko says the reason for the name change was to be able to offer their customers more.  They went from a federal chartered bank to a state chartered bank.  “We were able to offer almost everything that a commercial bank offered, but now we can offer a lot more services,” she says.

Virginia Commonwealth Bank has eight locations in Virginia, with four of those locations in the Village News readership area.  For more information, visit www.vacommbank.com
