| Maria Savannah’s, left, with Jack and Philicia Villegas, mission with the new restaurant is to serve good wholesome food. |
“If you don’t see it on the menu, we will make it,” says Jack Villegas, chef at NINI’s Family Restaurant. Villegas stayed on when new ownership of the restaurant, formerly Hank’s BBQ, took place on August 1. His wife Philicia, hostess and waitstaff, also stayed.
NINI’s is owned by Maria Savannah and her sons, Alex and Jacky Saban. It is a family-style restaurant offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. “We offer a little something for everyone , and the mashed potatoes are real mashed potatoes,” says Villegas.
The Villegas are very committed to the new owners and really want to see them make a success with their new restaurant.
Probably seen more as a truck stop due to its location at the Willis Rd. I-95 exit, the view can be exciting for some who might want to re-experience the fun of travel, and if you are looking for something a little different, their breakfast menu is extensive, the cheeseburger is just $2.99, and the Spanish selection is unique.
NINI’s Family Restaurant is located at 2305 Willis Rd., just off the exit. They are open seven days a week, Monday – Friday 6 a.m. – 9 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m. – 9 p.m., and Sunday 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. For more information, call 271-4949.
