Nith River (Ayr): Flows in the Nith River through Ayr are peaking early Saturday afternoon in Warning Zone 2 based on the current forecast and will recede but remain high through the weekend.
Flooding along this portion of the Missouri River has already neared or surpassed record levels.
Following an aerial tour of northwest Missouri, Parson said Friday that Missourians in the area should be prepared for a "dramatic rise" in the river in the coming days.
River levels will be on the rise through Friday night with a few expected to reach flood stage over NE Iowa and many others to come close to flood stage. "There's been a little bit more of that this year, in terms of spring flood potential", Clarksville Mayor Jo Anne Smiley said.
