'It's Part of the Business': Mike Conley and Marc Gasol Address Trade Talks

Even if the Mavericks can't move Dennis Smith the trade deadline, the addition of Gasol could help them make the playoffs in the brutal Western Conference. The Jazz need added firepower and the 20.0 points per game average of Conley could address all that, The Athletic reported.

"I don't understand why Mike is in those talks either", Gasol told the Commercial Appeal.

While players like Chandler and Jamal Crawford are good examples of how to practice well, neither of them (nor anyone else this franchise has employed since Steve Nash) have been both the star of a franchise and the centerpiece, and thus can not both impart true and necessary wisdom in that manner, nor take their stardom to Phoenix which would allow him to deflect a lot of the weight and pressure that Booker, Warren, and Jackson all undoubtedly feel, but are not equipped to handle at this time.

Gasol can become a free agent this summer if he opts out of the final year of his current contract. Memphis has discussed deals in which it would take on additional salary moving forward, but that's a more unlikely scenario with Gasol and Conley on the trading block and a rebuild on the horizon. I feel just as good about being here as the next person.

Bing blocked in China
Google recently suffered a backlash and protests from its employees over the company's covert attempt to get back into China . Bing was the last major foreign search engine operating in China after Google pulled out in 2010 .

Gasol, 34, was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers but has played his entire 11-season National Basketball Association career with the Grizzlies, joining the team in a 2008 trade package that included his brother Pau Gasol. It's not like we've been traded yet or anything like that.

"It's where we're at, I guess". Beal would no longer have to compete for touches with the ball-dominant Wall, but have a partner who can be just as effective a playmaker and willing to take a backseat. While the veteran guard realizes a potential move is "part of the business", Conley thought about never leaving the Grizzlies after signing a five-year, $152-million max contract with the club in July 2016.

Gasol, who turns 34 later this month, has a $25.5 million player option for next season. As highlighted earlier, Conley's contract ends after the 2020-2021 season; Wall is locked in until after the 2022-2023 season, and at a higher price.

Conley and Gasol rank No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, in games played for Memphis (Conley is at 764, Gasol 762).
