Police say suspected gunman Dakota Theriot is still at large hours after the shooting spree on Saturday morning.
Theriot has been charged with two counts first-degree murder, illegal use of weapons and home invasion, according to a statement from the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office.
Ascension Parish Sheriff Bobby Webre says Dakota Theriot is the "prime suspect" in the deaths of Keith and Elizabeth Theriot of Gonzales.
The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office identified the three other victims on Facebook as Billy, Tanner and Summer Ernest.
Investigators believe the two crimes are connected, and were motivated by a domestic dispute involving Theriot's girlfriend, Summer. DeYoung said Summer and Tanner Ernest were two of Billy's three children.
Lori Steele, a spokesperson for the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office, told HuffPost that the gunman first killed three people in Livingston before heading to the Ascension Parish.
"She was terrified", Bordelon said with tears in her eyes, of the little girl, the newspaper reported. The victims were identified as 50-year-old Elizabeth Theriot and her husband, 50-year-old Keith Theriot.

On a third-and-10 situation, quarterback Drew Brees threw an incomplete pass to wide receiver Tommylee Lewis . But Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman appeared to interfere.
Theriot is suspected to be traveling toward Mississippi.
Dakota may be driving a silver 2004 Dodge pick-up with the license plate number C583809. She believed Theriot had stolen Billy Ernest's truck.
At least one of the Livingston victims was a friend of Theriot's, the sheriff's office said.
"There's a lot of family members that are hurting right now and our prayers go out to those family members.they're looking at us to solve this crime", Webre said. He was also raising his wife's children. WAFB reports the couple was shot in the bedroom, authorities said.
Authorities believe that Theriot might be headed to MS and said to consider him "armed and risky".
Weber cautioned the public: If you see the vehicle, notify the authorities and do not approach it. When he was arrested, police found marijuana and paraphernalia in his possession, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office. However, Steele said there was cause to believe the suspect had a relationship with one of the victims in Livingston Parish.
