The Accidental Prime Minister’ Supreme Court refuses urgent hearing to plea against film’s release

The matter was mentioned for urgent listing before a bench headed by Justice A K Sikri which said the matter would come up for hearing in the regular course. Patriotic films are released on 15th August or 26th January, similarly this is a political film and we would like to release this film in political time. A plea has been filed in the Supreme Court against a previous order of the Delhi High Court, which had dismissed a petition seeking ban of the film's trailer but The Accidental Prime Minister will find its way to the theatres tomorrow. According to ANI, the court has now directed that an FIR be filed.

"The Accidental Prime Minister" movie is based on the 2014 memoir of the same name by Sanjaya Baru.

In fact, the trailer of the film too got vanished from YouTube. The best part is that it shows the human side of Manmohan Singh though not to a great deal. As per the same report, Youth Congress workers started burning posters of the film and were raising slogans against the actors and the producer of the film. It has been produced by Bohra Bros and released Rudra Production in association with Jayantilal Gada under the banner of Pen India Limited.
