Watch the exclusive look at Marvel Studios' Captain Marvel, which aired last night on ESPN during the 2019 College Football Playoff National Championship game between the Clemson Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide. Brie Larson seems to become Carol Danvers and Captain Marvel so naturally, and from what we see in this trailer and others, she'll bring the strong, fun, snarky, and admirable hero to life effortlessly.

Hence the de-aged Sam Jackson and Agent Coulson, plus the "I thought you were dead?" bad guy from the first GOTG film, as well as a few new faces. What's more is we also get to see more playful chatter between Brie Larson's Danvers (slash VERS slash Marvel?) and Samuel L. Oh yes, and the film will have plenty of humor in it, just look at how well Captain Marvel and Nick Fury are getting along. If he was joking and they knew he was just messing around, I'd hope they wouldn't have put the time travel part in the headline.

Game of Thrones tease Sansa and Daenerys meeting
In addition to the footage from the final season of Game of Thrones , HBO has plenty of other material for content-thirsty nerds. True Detective returns January 13, Game of Thrones returns in April and Veep will return sometime in this spring.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel will fly into theaters on March 8. It's impossible to know, but if this was just a slip of the tongue, it's certainly understandable - this is the twenty-first movie in the MCU, and he's been around since the beginning. But after ten years and 20 films, Marvel Studios has yet to produce a female-led superhero movie of their own.

Infinity War spoiler warning: The line in question comes after odd uses the Time Stone to peer into approximately 14 million future timelines, finding one outcome where the Avengers actually win.
