Examinations of Philadelphia 76ers guard Markelle Fultz's right shoulder will extend through Wednesday in NY and no decision on his next steps is expected until later in the week, league sources told ESPN.
Fultz was number 1 overall pick of the 2017 National Basketball Association draft, but has battled injuries which kept him off the court for 69 games in his rookie season while recovering from an off-season injury.
Sheridan also reports that no team in the National Basketball Association is willing to trade for Fultz until they see the point guard play again. Last week, Fultz's agent denied that the 20-year-old guard would "prefer a fresh start with a new team". Not much was revealed other than that, but it was the first major report of another team being interested in Fultz. The rumors keep pouring out as Fultz is now on another hiatus due to his shoulder and wrist problems that randomly popped up over the last week.
This comes just days after reports said that Fultz is "no longer in the Sixers' long-term plans." "For now, however, Fultz is still around the team as if nothing has changed except his playing time".
The Markelle Fultz saga has taken a new turn.

However, Chris Sheridan of Get More Sports reported on Sunday that there is no interest in Fultz.
After beginning the season as a starter, he was replaced by J.J. Redick and has seen his role decrease since the trade for All-Star Jimmy Butler.
T.J. McConnell appears to be remaining with the 76ers for the rest of the season.
Fultz has averaged 8.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 22.5 minutes across 19 games this year.
