New footage appears to show Saudi suspect wearing Jamal Khashoggi's clothing

Saudi official provides yet another version of Khashoggi's death

Jamal Khashoggi's killing was a tremendous mistake: Saudi Arabia

Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said Sunday the Saudi government did not know how journalist Jamal Khashoggi had died, or where his body was.

"I agree with all those who say when it comes to our already limited arms exports (to Saudi Arabia) that they can not take place in the current situation", she told reporters at her party headquarters.

"This was an operation where individuals ended up exceeding the authorities and responsibilities they had", he said.

A still image taken from CCTV video and obtained by TRT World claims to show Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, highlighted in a red circle by the source, as he arrives at Saudi Arabia's Consulate in Istanbul, Turkey, Oct. 2, 2018.

Other critics have noted that there's a slim to none chance Khashoggi was killed without Salman's knowledge.

"Nothing can justify this killing and we condemn it in the strongest possible terms", Germany, Britain and France said in their joint statement yesterday.

"We continue to review and monitor the situation", the spokeswoman said, adding that Vice's separate, independent news division would continue reporting on the Khashoggi scandal.

And then we'll determine which facts are credible. "This was an operation where individuals ended up exceeding the authorities and responsibilities they had", Jubeir said on the United States broadcaster, Fox.

The Trump administration has faced condemnation for not responding forcefully to Khashoggi's disappearance and eventual death, despite growing evidence that Saudi officials ordered the killing of The Washington Post contributor, who had always been critical of the Saudi government.

The calls come after a leaked photograph, apparently taken from surveillance footage, showed Maher Abdulaziz Mutreb, a member of Prince Mohammed's entourage on foreign trips, at the consulate, just ahead of Khashoggi's arrival.

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said "condemnation is not enough", asking: "Will they now end arms sales to Saudi Arabia?"

Saudi Arabia said 18 Saudi suspects were in custody and intelligence officials had been fired.

Turkish media reports and officials maintain that a 15-member Saudi team flew to Istanbul on October 2, knowing Khashoggi would enter the consulate to get a document he needed to get married, and then killed him.

Video surveillance footage released Monday shows a Saudi operative wearing the clothes of slain journalist Jamal Khashoggi after he was killed, in an attempt to cover up the murder.

Hatice Cengiz, a Turkish national, waited for Khashoggi outside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2, where he was to get papers for their planned marriage.

"It stretches credulity to suggest the crown prince wasn't involved in this", Paul explained.

He told an Istanbul rally Sunday, "We are looking for justice here and this will be revealed in all its naked truth, not through some ordinary steps".

Sen. Rand Paul told "Fox News Sunday" that the US "cannot continue to have relations with him and so I think he's going to have to be replaced".

"Right now as an Administration we're more in the fact-finding phase and we're obviously getting as many facts as we can from the different places", Kushner said.
