- TMZ is reporting singer Ariana Grande and actor Pete Davidson have called off their engagement.

But the fast-paced relationship proved to be short-lived, with news breaking Sunday that the pair called off their engagement and ended their relationship.

According to sources cited by the gossip rag, the love is reportedly still there between the two, but "things are over romantically".

"It was way too much too soon", a Grande source tells PEOPLE. "It's not shocking to anyone".

The couple's split comes at a hard time for Grande, who's been dealing with the loss of ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, who died from an apparent drug overdose on September 7.
