Iran’s Rouhani says US will eventually rejoin nuclear deal

"We need a truly great leader, a genius at strategy and winning", tweeted Donald Trump back in 2014.

"We did not and will not interfere in any country's domestic affairs".

Rouhani said it was "quite unusual, unprecedented and amazing" that while presiding over the Security Council as its president Trump also called on the 14 other council members to violate the legally binding resolution endorsing the JCPOA that the council adopted unanimously in 2015 _ including a "yes" vote from the United States. "And I said, 'It is true.' And I heard smiles", Trump said, though he didn't clarify what a smile sounds like.

"In this framework, global institutions present a threat to American sovereignty, especially at a time when issues like immigration, trade, and the role of frameworks such as alliances and multilateral institutions limit American freedom of action", he said.

Iranian leaders are already talking about a post-Trump US government and what new leadership - not just in the White House but also in the House of Representatives and in the US Senate - might mean for their country's long-term goals.

After Trump, French President Emanuel Macron said that a "serious crisis of confidence" has emerged after US President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal. "Up until such time when we keep reaping the benefits promised within that agreement for our nation and our people, we will remain in the agreement".

The scene of members of the U.N., many of whom depend on the United States for protection and preservation of the world order, laughing at America, is in many ways pathetic. He threatened to limit US aid only to countries that are friendly to the United States. This week, it emerged that India, a leading importer of Iranian oil, would likely comply with the sanctions on Iranian oil exports that will take effect in November.
