The original PlayStation is back -- in miniature form

Sony announced Tuesday a mini version of its landmark console will come pre-loaded with 20 games

PlayStation Classic mini retro console is launching in time for Christmas

The PlayStation Classic will cost $100, versus the $60 Nintendo has charged for its classic systems (and the NES Classic offered 30 games to Sony's 20). Let's have a look.

After news broke, Twitter users exploded in excitement -- with a dose of indifference -- over the PlayStation Classic.

Interestingly, Castlevania Symphony of the Night has been given an age rating for PS4, so another re-release could be of interest. And hey, just like back in the day, they came out ahead of the N64 Classic.

The console will come pre-loaded with 20 classic titles. It's also the only official way to play Star Fox 2, which was scrapped just before it was set to launch in the mid 90's. The package will include two PlayStation controllers, an HDMI cord, a USB cable, and a virtual memory card for save files.

The lilliputian PlayStation is positively adorable; it's a teensy 45% the size of the original, with a working "Eject" button which, rather than opening the lid, switches game.

In the U.S. the PlayStation Classic can be pre-ordered from BestBuy. The few games that have already been announced make me pretty excited, though. The older NES Classic has numerous same features, save for the rewind functionality.

David Silva Comments On Manchester City Future
Of course he can play there. "In the beginning it was a little bit hard [for Bernardo Silva]", Guardiola added. It depends on how I feel physically and mentally.

The nostalgic re-issues of the classic consoles have been hugely popular amongst Nintendo fans, with the most recent SNES Classic Mini has sold 5.28 million units worldwide since its launch in September 2017.

Here are the details on when the PlayStation mini will be released and how you can get hold of one. There's a clear demand for classic gaming experiences in the market.

As it stands right now, the SNES Classic arguably gives you the best mix of quality games and hardware for its price.

Sony said it will release more details in the coming months.

KitGuru Says: The PS1 was a legendary console for its time.

It's clear Sony is taking a page out of Nintendo's playbook with this announcement.
