Donald Trump taunts basketballer LeBron James in late night Twitter rant

Donald Trump takes shot at LeBron James

NBA: Trump shoots at LeBron

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. Ahead of campaigning in OH on Saturday, President Donald Trump unleashed a withering attack on the state's favorite son, savaging LeBron James in a late-night tweet that derided the intelligence of one of the nation's most prominent African-American men. "I can't sit back and not say nothing", James said of Trump's actions.

Donald Trump picked an odd time to weigh in on the Michael Jordan vs. LeBron James debate.

The "Mike" comment is a reference to Michael Jordan, who LeBron is trying to usurp as the greater National Basketball Association player of all time. "He's kind of used sports to divide us, and that's something I can't relate to". "Tweet about that. (A) professional athlete doing a good thing for his community".

James's last message was about his newly completed I Promise School in Akron, a public and nonprofit partnership created to help underserved kids in his OH hometown.

Trump has shown, over and over again that he loves to attack his critics via Twitter, but its becoming more and more glaring that his preferred method of attacking African Americans is by insulting their intelligence.

Donald Trump attacked Don Lemon shortly before midnight on Friday night.

Many tweeted both about separating children from their parents at the border, and of changes to how college students are treated and how their education is paid for. James carefully dodged the question, but when asked what he would say if someone told him, "If you don't run, Trump's going to win", James responded with, "Well, in that case, I may [run]", James said. A man who puts kids in classrooms or one who puts kids in cages?

James first said Mr. Trump is using sports to divide Americans at a press conference in September 2017, when Mr. Trump claimed he had disinvited Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors, although the team had decided not to visit.

While James' interview aired Monday night and into Tuesday, the president clearly didn't hear about it until Friday.

"Even POTUS" supporters found the tweet to be in bad taste.

In the insanely long list of Kobe Bryant highlight videos, this one gets played as much as nearly any: A 2010 regular season game against Orlando when Matt Barnes is inbounding the ball, does a ball-fake inches from Kobe's face, and Bryant doesn't flinch. "When you're a part of sports.it just brings so much comraderie and so much fun", he said.

The tweet came after James said during the interview that Trump is using sports to try and "divide" the US.
