Iwobi name in Arsenal's 25-man squad for pre-season tour

The 29-year-old Spaniard is more likely to be sold as the Perez has just returned to the club after a season on loan with Deportivo La Coruna and there is no obvious place in the Arsenal squad for the left winger.

Ozil has been generally praised by members of the football fraternity for speaking out on the matter.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday the treatment of Mesut Ozil after the soccer star quit Germany's national team was racist and unacceptable.

Gundogan later issued a statement in which he said he "honours German values 100%" and never intended the picture to be seen as a show of political support. "One world, one people".

The Arsenal playmaker went on to criticise DFB president Reinhard Grindel and outlined tensions concerning his Turkish heritage and team selection decisions during Russian Federation 2018.

While not wanting to make public comment on some of Ozil's statements from his Twitter post, the governing body said it "emphatically" rejected any suggestions of racism within the organisation.

Between his debut in 2009 and his final appearance in June, Ozil played nearly 100 times for Germany, helping them win the World Cup in 2014 and even was voted as Germany's national player of the year on five separate occasions.

Lord knows it was time for our first female Doctor, and things aren't just new for us-they're new for her as well. Speaking in Radio Times, Chibnall emphasised how important it was that , "there's no barrier to entry".

"The DFB regrets the departure of Mesut Ozil from the national team".

"He has not put in performances that can help the national team over the last 18 months to two years, nor was he convincing at the World Cup in his two outings", ex-Germany captain Lothar Matthaeus told Sky Sports.

"It is with a heavy heart and after much consideration that because of recent events, I will no longer be playing for Germany at global level whilst I have this feeling of racism and disrespect", said Ozil in his long note. "The danger exists because many who also have family roots in other countries or culture, can understand Ozil's mood".

"Mesut Abi ('brother' in Turkish), your technique on the ball has opened the door to the national team for players like me", wrote Draxler on his Instagram account along with a picture of him and Ozil.

"I think we don't have a problem".

Fellow players have their say.

"I kiss him on his eyes", Erdogan said, using a Turkish term of affection for a loved one or friend.
