Kim Kardashian: I 'Didn't Want to Give Up' on Freeing Alice Johnson

Kardashian West, sitting next to Johnson, told Hoda Kotb that the first Trump family member she contacted about Johnson's case was Ivanka Trump, the president's daughter.

"To me, Kim does not seem like a celebrity, she seems like a friend", Johnson told Mic in a video interview just hours before meeting Kardashian West. "I was amazed, too".

Kim added: 'At first I thought she knew because the news was starting to break and we had to get her on the phone.

The pastor pointed out that when reality TV star Kim Kardashian West met with Trump, the media missed the "real story", which he considers to be that Trump "is quickly becoming one of the greatest civil rights presidents in modern history".

While we were outside Kardashian was showing Johnson the ropes on snapchat having fun with filters and at one-point Kardashian said love you Alice and Alice said love you Kim.

"As soon as I found out who she was, I started getting every magazine I could find", Johnson said.
