EA Sports ran Federation Internationale de Football Association 18 World Cup simulation

FIFA 18 World Cup update

‘FIFA 18’ Predicts the World Cup Finalists

This year, the popular football game's choice to win the World Cup is perhaps a bit surprising, with the title outing France as the tournament's victor based on a simulation of every World Cup match.

Germany is one of the most successful national teams in global competitions, having won 4 World Cups (1954, 1974, 1990 and 2014), 3 European Championships (1972, 1980 and 1996) and 1 Confederations Cup (2017).

For sports fans not so into football, they can also tune into Sport 24 throughout June and July to catch live action from the NBA Finals, Stanley Cup Finals, US Open and European Tour golf, Wimbledon, and the British Open.

Moreover, the 12 Stadiums are all featured, as is the official trophy and match-ball - with the graphics and broadcasting courtesy of the Frostbite engine taking the game's realistic feel to a whole new level.

FIFA announced on March 29 that the organization's Referees Committee selected 36 referees and 63 assistant referees, representing 46 different countries, for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russian Federation.

EA Sports predicted that France would win a third World Cup title this year.

Israel intercepts Palestinian boat that carried patients and students
On Sunday, an Israeli tank fired on a Islamic Jihad observation post and killed three people, according to Al Jazeera . Israeli forces have killed at least 121 Palestinians in Gaza since weekly demonstrations started on March 30.

The system was introduced after criticism during previous World Cup hosting campaigns that voters overlooked the technical qualities of respective bids and based their choices on an exchange of political and personal favours.

We shouldn't expect too many fireworks and not numerous players involved will be rolling off the tongues of Irish viewers, but for that opening day fixture at least in Moscow, Saudi Arabia will be front and centre at the 2018 World Cup.

Al-Mirdasi was banned by life by the Saudi Football Federation (SAFF) for offering to take a bribe to influence the outcome of the King's Cup final and they urged FIFA to remove him from the 36-man pool of referees for the tournament in Russia.

Each tournament year, EA SPORTS release a special mode for the World Cup.

Perhaps it's a lucky roll of the virtual dice, or maybe it's that EA's ability to accurately portray individual player's skill level and abilities has become so eerily exact that it should come as no surprise that its prediction would come close to reality.
