Davina McCall said on Twitter: "I am so so so sad to hear about Dale Winton a lovely, warm, kind, sensitive, generous soul with a touch of naughty!"
TV presenter Dale Winton has died at the age of 62, his agent has said.
"Dale Winton Arrives for David Walliams" combined house warming and 35th birthday party with a gift from "Tiffany & Co".
"Just when you think someone's got everything, deep down inside, maybe they don't have everything". Goodnight Dale. An unassuming gentle man, lively company, a pleasure to write for. "A post-mortem has also been ordered by Scotland Yard to determine cause of death".
Winton had spoken about some of his health problems which had plagued him in what would be one of his final interview, and why he had taken time away from TV.
No further details about his death have been announced.

George's 3-point accuracy remained ridiculous in the first half, when he twice was fouled on successful 3-pointers. That's inarguable, considering this is his first opportunity in the National Basketball Association playoffs.
Presenter Jonathan Ross said: "Dale Winton was a real sweetheart".
Also Dale Winton is remembered by many viewers through their own television show called Dale's Supermarket Sweep, in which he acted as main lead.
Loose Women's Sherrie Hewson added an emotional tribute.
The Supermarket Sweep star who died this on Wednesday said he had ducked out of the limelight but was excited to be making a return to the small screen in 2018.
Dale released an autobiography in 2002, in which he came out as gay.
The 62-year-old moved from his £2.9million Regent's Park apartment earlier this month and was always "very friendly" to neighbours.
Presenter Sherrie Hewson said: "So very sad about the gorgeous Dale Winton worked with him many times!"
