Spider-Man release date for PS4 unveiled

Spider-Man confirmed for a 2018 release on PS4

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Insomniac Games have announced that Spider-Man will swing to the PlayStation 4 on September 7.

People who pre-order the game at select retailers will be greeted to a Spider-Man Physical Pin, so long as supplies last. Pre-orders will include three spidey skins but only one (the spider-punk suit) has been revealed, and early buyers will also get a few extras like an in-game spider drone and some PSN avatars and themes. The game's post-launch DLC will come in the form of a three-part campaign called Marvel's Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps and includes new villains. At the moment, the Collector's Edition is available to pre-order at GameStop and BestBuy (with 20% Gamers Club Unlocked discount).

Insomniac's new Spiderman game has generated a lot of buzz since it was first revealed.

The Collector's Edition costs $149.99 and comes with everything in the digital deluxe as well as a statue designed by Gentle Giant, an art book, and a steelbook for the game. The digital deluxe edition is USA $79.99 / CDN $99.99 MSRP and the collector's edition costs United States $149.99 / CDN $199.99 MSRP.

GOP Rep. Carlos Curbelo Calls for EPA Chief Scott Pruitt to Resign
EPA spokesman Jahan Wilcox has said the arrangement was not a gift and the lease was "consistent with federal ethics regulations". Pruitt actually paid a total of $6,100 over the six-month period he leased the condo, an average of about $1,000 a month.

Spider-Man is sure to be another big seller on PS4. The game will not have any kind of comic or movie tie-in, and will instead be an all new story about Spidey. Spider-Man holds one of his classic comic poses against a red backdrop, while wearing the brand new Advanced Suit that Insomniac developed for their iteration of the character.

The entire gang is also present, including Parker's bae Mary Jane (who you control in key moments), Aunt May, and that other Spider-Man, Miles Morales. More details on that a bit later down the road.

While we're at it, let's ask if Sony would like to release Uncharted and Horizon Zero Dawn for the Xbox One as well.
